Simply Sunday #25

simply sundaySimply Sunday is a reading meme hosted by Books For a Delicate Eternity. It’s where you share your favorite quote; be it from a book movie, novella, song, ect.

My favorite quote this week is by Oscar Wilde from The Picture of Dorian Gray:

There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.

Why I Chose It

These are Oscar Wilde’s personal thoughts about literature. The quote is taken from The Preface. It is here that he discloses his inner most thoughts about life, books, art, ect. This particular quote deeply resonates with me because at the end of the day, everything that I read is either good or bad. It doesn’t matter what the book is about as long as the author’s writing appeals to the reader. To me, that is a magical gift – when the author is able to utterly captivate their audience simply with their craft.

What was your favorite quote this week? I’d love to hear about it down in the comments below 🙂

With love always,
