About Me

My name is not Emma Snow, but my best friend said I needed a writing-esque name. A pseudonym. A nom de plume, for all of us studying the SATs.

I’m just your average teenage girl, aspiring to be a published author in the near future. While agonizing over college essays and patiently helping costumers shop, I enjoy addicting t.v. show drama’s such as Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, and Merlin. But most of all, the thing I love doing above everything else is reading. You can find me curled up on the couch with a good book in hand or killing the occasional zombie that arises from the dead.

I’m a devoted burger expert, explorer, and music fanatic. Procrastination is an everyday battle (a losing one at that). Add that to my inability to walk without tripping, and you’ve got a girl prone to accidents. Coffee and Coca-Cola are my trusted best friends on long, sleepless study nights and Reece’s Peanut Buttercups keep me sane.

This place will be my safe haven where I’ll post my thoughts about the books I’m reading, display my WIP’s, and have the random musing/rambling post.

You’d LOVE the BBC version of Sherlock. It ties in perfectly with your favourite shows:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475582/
    (You simply must watch it!)
Also, guess what album is Number 5 in Australia?
Fifty Shades of Gray – The Album

Some of my favourite tunes… ruined…

I really need to get back to watching Sherlock! I’ve watched like 2 episodes and it’s really slow for me, but everyone says it’s really good so I’m giving it a chance πŸ™‚ I’ll probably end up loving it in a bit! πŸ˜€

      UGH. I KNOW. I SAW IT AT SAM’S -_____-
I was like….seriously? I made a comment on twitter when I found out that 50 Shades won best Romance. I said, “So on Goodreads I see that Fifty Shades of Grey won Romance. WUT IS THIS BLASPHEMY?? IS THAT WHAT PEOPLE THINK ROMANCE IS THESE DAYS?!”

      Reply
      • The first two episodes are slow. And then it gets fast. So paced, you can’t breathe.
        Literally.
But it’s only 6 episodes (each 1 hour long) and you’ve already watched 2. πŸ˜‰

What? No. No. No. No. What? Not the best romance.

I know, right? Have they forgotten there’s more than some crazy abusive guy being plain disturbing? (Judging by the blurb at the back and MANY negative reviews I read while snickering).

Guess what’s the fifth most sold album in Australia? “Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album.”

I think I’m going to be sick.

Hi there, Emma. Thanks for dropping by in my blog. I can see you are a book reviewer and I am interested to know you more! I have recently taken an interest in reviewing books and had already published two separate posts aside from my monthly wrap-ups. Though I am not a fan of coffee and soda, I like peanut butter and Reese’s!

    • Hey there! πŸ™‚ Oh, I just started this entire book blogging business. I’m a newbie but I like it a lot. Before I would give mediocre reviews on goodreads but now I put my entire thoughts behind them. My blog at first was supposed to be for my stories that I write but then it turned into a mix of everything I love! I want to get to know you too! We can be friends, even if you don’t like coffee or soda. I’ll make an exception πŸ™‚

Well, at this point I would like to admit that I am a newbie, too. In fact, this is the first time I created a blog and I am amazed that I had maintained it for six months now. My blog is so random, too. You can see many things in there that are nothing to do with books or writing though. As I told you, I recently started doing book reviews and I like it. I do it for the fun of it and I am really enjoy chatting with the authors, too.

I am a tea person, but I always hang out in coffee shop due to lack of good tea houses here in my country. I guess that will do. πŸ™‚

  3. Spend more time on your writing so you can make that dream happen someday!:) In other words, don’t be like me, hahaha!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for all the support. Happy to have you in the roost! All the best!

    • I’ve had the worst track record with writing for a few months now. I really need to get back to it! I just need to be inspired again. Hahaha and I’m mostly a book blog now. I’m so horrible xD

Hehehe and I’m glad to be on board! Can’t wait to read some more of your stuff! πŸ™‚

  7. Hello, Emma! I just dropped by after your comment on my recent Who post. I would like to say something: YOUR BLOG IS LIKE PURE GOLD FOR A BOOKWORM. Do you accept blog awards?

  8. My husband and I recently searched Netflix for some streamed television shows. Among a few of the ones we discovered and liked are Merlin and Sherlock. We’re also enjoying Supernatural and Warehouse 13.

Have you watched any of the AMC Walking Dead series? My husband has long been a fan of zombie movies, but the Walking Dead turned him even more onto zombie stuff. He’s playing the Walking Dead game and reading the graphic novels.

    • I absolutely love Merlin. My heart broke at the finale. It was a bittersweet ending. And I do love Colin Morgan and Bradley James. I miss them!

I haven’t watched the Walking Dead. I tried watching the first episode and I just couldn’t sit through it. I found it boring, but a lot of people love it. So I might take another try at it. I’ve only ever read 2 zombie books and I adored them.

Gahhh….I also have to watch Sherlock. I’ve only watched about 3 episodes and I liked them a lot!

Looking forward to reading your reviews and stories!

P.S. Not trying to be a wiseass, but you have a typo there: non instead of nom de plume.

I see we’ve been thinking alike as I just finished a book you’re currently reading. What a coincidence! I actually thought of your blog as I was reading it because “Of Poseidon” seems like the kind of book that would be recommended when you’ve read “Let The Sky Fall.” : )

Have a great day, and happy reading!

I think you and I would get along very well. We seem to have a lot in common: Once Upon a Time (even though the last half of Season 2 was more than disappointing), aspiring published author, burger and music fanatics, trip over our own feet, coffee, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, and of course reading. Nice to meet you πŸ™‚
