Cover Reveal: The Paths We Choose by Maria Hollis

Image result for hello gif

Happy Friday lovely people of the interwebs! Today I bring you the cover reveal for Maria Hollis’s new novella, The Paths We Choose. It is contemporary and sounds mysterious – which is right up my alley!

So are you ready to see this beauty?

Lily Ferrari enjoys having control over every detail of her life. Ever since she left her parents’ house to gain her freedom, she decided to fully own her autonomy. But an unexpected visit from her little brother may change the path she chooses to follow.

Add to that a casual fling with the bright architect Mayte González, and Lily’s summer is turning out more interesting than she expected. It certainly beats the routine of working extra shifts at Johnson’s Bookstore.

A few weeks before her college life begins, Lily needs to figure out if she’s wrong about the past or if she should continue to protect her heart at all costs.

Sometimes moving forward is only possible if you have the right people by your side.

M. Hollis could never decide what to do with her life. From the time she was a child, she has changed her ideas for a career hundreds of times. After writing in hidden notebooks during classes and daydreaming during every spare moment of her day, she decided to fully dedicate herself to her stories. When she isn’t scrolling around her social media accounts or reading lots of femslash fanfiction, you’ll find her crying about female characters and baking cookies.

Keep up to date with Maria:
Add The Paths We Choose to your TBR !!
I am so excited to dive right into this one! The cover is so PINK. I love it! You don’t usually see pink covers out in the world and I just love it’s brightness and prettiness 🙂 What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

If strings ran up my spine, she just plucked the high E, a fierce vibration that shakes me to my core.

She looks away, and quakes subside into mere tremors. Propping myself up against the bar, I abandon my drink to process the last few seconds.

All these months, there’s been nothing. But just now? I felt it. I feel it. I pulse with life, lightning dancing across my skin as she batters the crowd with furious verses.

But I’m stuck on that first gasp.

One note. One word. She laid me low and resurrected me in one fell swoop.

Who is this girl?

Adapted for Film Blog Tour: Excerpt + Giveaway!

Why hello there my lovely people of the interwebs! Today I have an excerpt from Stacey Rourke’s new contemporary novel, Adapted for Film. If you like what you read be sure to grab a copy of the book at the links provided below! All information about the book, author, and GIVEAWAY will also be listed afterwards. Happy Reading! 🙂

“I think I get it. If a butterfly were to land on you, its touch would be so delicate that you would wonder if it had really happened at all, or if it was merely your mind fantasizing that such a rare beauty would honor you with the gift of their touch.”

A gorgeous man uttering such poetry temporarily short circuited my brain. Catching myself doing the slack-jawed fan-girl thing, I quickly snapped my mouth shut and averted my gaze to a nonthreatening cement turtle by the edge of the gazebo.

“Yep,” I muttered to the turtle. “I think you’ve got it.”

Unfortunately for my last remaining shred of dignity, Greyson wasn’t done with his tutorial. He closed the distance between us with a burning hunger blazing in his eyes. A hot flush rose in my cheeks, creeping clear up to my earlobes as his sculpted body skimmed against mine. Toned, rigid perfection only a few thin layers of fabric away …

“What are you doing?” My voice failed me, coming out in a raspy yelp.

“Making sure I’ve got this right.” Temptation, of the most carnal variety, emanated off of him. His focused gaze followed the curve of my lips, the lift of one brow promising toe-curling fun.

It had been a really long time since someone had looked at me like that. Much less one of the sexiest men on the planet. That almost never happened.

“Aiden wouldn’t grab Paige, wouldn’t pull her to him.” Raising one hand, he traced the length of my arm with two fingers.

Starting at my wrist, he worked his way up. His skin never actually made contact, but whispered over mine in an electrifying rush that rolled and built. Bowing his head, his silky locks tickled my cheek. Hot breath teased over my collarbone, awakening a need so powerful my hands curled into tight fists at my sides. Agonizingly slow, he raised his head. The blissful torment of his lips teased over mine, setting the veil of energy between us alive with desire.

“He wouldn’t want to crush her lips with his need,” he murmured against my mouth, “but would wait … patiently for her to close that last … remaining … space.”

Despite our audience, it took every ounce of willpower I had to fight the urge to rise up on tiptoe and let my lips find his in a moment of blissful rapture that would make my eyes roll back and the heavens sing. Before that bothersome whim could stomp down the last of my common sense, I stumbled back a step and inserted some much needed distance between us.

I took great pleasure in seeing Greyson as flushed and ruffled as I was. “Yeah, that was … good,” I panted. “I think you got it.”

Aubrey Evans is living every author’s dream; her sizzling romance novel is being turned into a blockbuster film. She would be celebrating this momentous event, if she wasn’t busy fighting over every tiny production detail with the maddeningly cavalier director, Kole Camden.

When news of their heated rivalry hits the gossip columns, drastic measures must be taken to save their sinking project. In an elaborate PR hoax, she is publicly linked to Greyson Meyers, the swoon-worthy star of her movie. A whirl-wind love affair is staged for the couple to mirror the steamy chapters of her own books.

Can the introverted author resist the charms of Hollywood’s sexiest leading man? Or will love find her in the City of Angels? — Goodreads

Adapted for Film is available to purchase from Amazon.

P.S. I think the cover is gorgeous! Good job graphic designer! Many kudos to you 🙂

Cover Reveal: Perfect Game by Collette West

Hello lovely people of the internet! Today I am here to share with you the cover to Perfect Game by Collette West, hitting shelves on March 13, 2015. Information and description about the book and author will be provided down below!

Alright. Let’s do this.

For New York Kings’ first baseman Scott Harper, scoring women is easy. He’s ready to get naked anytime, anywhere. But when a hacker leaks his nude selfies, he’s unprepared for the scrutiny his full-frontals receive.

Carrie McKenzie has a love-hate relationship with her body. No longer the fat chick guys can ignore, she wins the job as the Kings’ clubhouse reporter. With her svelte new figure, she nabs an exclusive interview with Scott to get his take on the scandal.

However, the two are already on a first-name basis after Scott came on to her in the hotel bar, and she woke up in his arms. The problem is that Scott doesn’t do relationships and Carrie doesn’t date jocks, yet the way they burn up the sheets is deserving of more than just a one-night stand.

Scott shows Carrie that he has a sweet, caring side beneath all the swagger. But can she really trust her heart to the biggest player in the game?

Collette West grew up as somewhat of a jock-nerd hybrid. Entering the world three weeks premature, her dad nearly missed her birth because he had seats behind the dugout for a sold-out, highly-anticipated match-up between two of baseball’s biggest rivals. Not to be outdone, her book-loving mom taught her how to read by the time she was three. A love of the game coupled with an appreciation for the written word were instilled in Collette’s impressionable brain from a young age. No wonder her characters believe in the philosophy: sports + romance = a little slice of heaven.

Splitting her time between the Pocono Mountains and Manhattan, Collette indulges her inner fangirl by going to as many games as she can from hockey to baseball and downloading every sports romance novel in existence onto her iPad. When she’s not clicking away on her laptop, she enjoys walking her dog in Central Park, satisfying her caffeine craving at the Starbucks on Broadway and keeping an eye out for Mr. Right. But above all, she loves dishing with her readers. Email her at

I am in need of a steamy NA story and this seems like the perfect one! I am ashamed to say that I have not read any West’s previous novels, but that will change very soon! I am stoked and cannot wait to get to this one! The cover is also gorgeous! It’s the perfect amount of sexiness! 😉

Love it? Hate it? Let me know down in the comments below!

Until next time,

Cover Reveal: Flirting With Love (Lovelly #1.5) by Clara Stone + Excerpt!

Hello lovely people of the interwebs! I am here to bring you the cover reveal of Clara Stone’s new novel, Flirting With Love, the follow up to Forever Kinda Love – which I reviewed last year right here! Flirting With Love hits shelves on March 6, 2015. You bet my little tush will be pre-ordering this baby.

So….ready for cover reveal?

Hudson Lovelly leads a charmed life-successful career, loving family, beautiful wife. And on the eve of his daughter’s birth, he’s counting his blessings. Life wasn’t always so generous . . .

Seventeen-year-old Blake never expected to fall for the pretentious, golden-haired boy on the opposing debate team. But she soon learns that looks can be deceiving, and not all men exist to disappoint. When a harmless prank starts to turn into something more, she discovers that sometimes, all it takes is a little Hope for love to find it’s way.

The day she walks into his life, exploding on the scene like a firecracker, is the day eighteen-year-old Hudson knows everything is about to change. Quick-witted, Blake is a prankster with a heart of gold, ensnaring him more than any girl ever has. He’ll do anything to be with her, even if it means pretending.

But when danger threatens Blake, he can’t conceal his growing affection. Pretending is no longer an option. They never planned for their friendship to grow into a love story. But it did. This powerful companion to Forever Kinda Love tells the history of Hudson and Blake’s love. Laced with haunting emotion and beautiful sentiment, this is a tale about overcoming even the darkest moments, reminding us all to love more. Give more.

Without regrets.

I nod and study each of them, until my glance lands on Golden Boy. I narrow my eyes, glaring at him in the scariest way I can muster. At least, I hope so anyway.

He stares back, the earlier smile completely vanished. He jumps to his feet and saunters forward. I gulp, feeling uncertainty stirring in the pit of my stomach, and my palms sweat from nerves. I don’t know if it’s because of his godly good looks, the fact he’s towering well over six feet on my five foot seven inches height, or because I can’t read his all too calming features, but suddenly, I feel like coming over here wasn’t my best idea.

I watch him as he approaches, slow and confident, like a lion unconcerned by the presence of a cheetah. His pressed, white button-up shirt stretches across his chest, and the loose tie around his neck hangs over his unbuttoned collar. His expression is stoic, but there’s something in his hazel eyes that makes me feel awkward and on display. He doesn’t exactly scream “bad boy,” but I know there’s something in him that sizzles just under the surface, a wildness.

He runs his fingers over his perfectly-combed, golden locks and extends his hand for a handshake, the tendons on his forearm popping below his rolled up sleeve. I stare at his arm and blink.

“Pleasure to meet you,” he says. His voice is incredibly warm, amused.

When I look up at him, his lips stretch wide in a wicked grin that shines right to his eyes. I feel light on my feet, like I’m on cloud nine or something.

“Hudson, Blake. Blake, Hudson,” Hope introduces us, reminding me that we aren’t alone.

“Blake,” Hudson says, like he’s tasting my name on his tongue. “That’s an odd name for a girl. Don’t you think, Hope?”

That brings me back to earth and lands me on my butt—figuratively speaking, of course.

“Hudson!” Hope squeals disapprovingly, backhanding him across his chest.

I glare sharply at him, thinning my lips. “Remember this moment, Golden Boy. Because karma is mighty pissed, and she pays back with interest.”

I don’t give either of them a chance to respond before I pivot and head back toward my teammates.

Wesley meets me halfway and leans down, asking, “What did you say to them? He looks like he got hit by lightning.”

I throw a glance over my shoulder and smile at the stunned expression on Hudson’s face. Good. When I turn back to Wesley, the rest of the team has caught up to us. “It’s time to bring out the big guns. You guys up for it?”

Murmurs fill the air, almost all in agreement, until Wesley speaks.

“We can’t risk getting caught, Blake.”

I grin. “Oh, trust me, there’s no way we’re getting caught.”

Excitement fizzles around us as the team starts to throw out ideas. Golden Boy and the other stuck-up douche-nuts won’t know what hit them.

I am so ready to have a finished copy in my hands! I love love LOVE the cover! It is positively lovelly 😉

The Body Electric Blog Tour: Book Review & Giveaway

Stay tuned at the end for the giveaway!

Author: Beth Revis

Publisher: Scripturient Books

Release date: October 6, 2014

Purchase from Amazon |Barnes & Noble

The future world is at peace.

Ella Shepherd has dedicated her life to using her unique gift—the ability to enter people’s dreams and memories using technology developed by her mother—to help others relive their happy memories.

But not all is at it seems.

Ella starts seeing impossible things—images of her dead father, warnings of who she cannot trust. Her government recruits her to spy on a rebel group, using her ability to experience—and influence—the memories of traitors. But the leader of the rebels claims they used to be in love—even though Ella’s never met him before in her life. Which can only mean one thing…

Someone’s altered her memory.

Ella’s gift is enough to overthrow a corrupt government or crush a growing rebel group. She is the key to stopping a war she didn’t even know was happening. But if someone else has been inside Ella’s head, she cannot trust her own memories, thoughts, or feelings.

So who can she trust?

I am huge fan of Beth Revis and when I found out she was writing a new book I was insanely excited! I adored her trilogy Across The Universe, devouring all three books throughout the years. I also am a fan of science fiction. With that in mind, Beth Revis does not disappoint with her imaginative twist of the future of science and the probability of war. The Body Electric was unique and creative, immersing a bit of world-building from Across the Universe in this new tale.

The Body Electric follows Ella Shepard, a girl whose parents are renowned scientist. Her father worked with nanobot technology, while her mother developed technology that enables people to relive their happiest memories. Ella discovers that she has a gift – she can enter other people’s memories through her mother’s technology. Her ability doesn’t stay a secret for long as she is asked by the government to use her ability to spy on a terrorist group.

Ella soon discovers that her memories have been tampered with and she has to decide who she can trust.

One of my favorite aspects of the novel was the world-building. With science fiction it is absolutely crucial to have good world-building. I really liked how the world came to life right before my eyes. I could imagine this world where there are robots, and highly developed technological advances like nanobots that can make you live better (i.e. eye sight, immune system, ect.). I also really loved how Beth incorporated aspects of Across The Universe. Godspeed is mentioned and I literally flailed when I read about it. History does not know what really happened to the spaceship but I do! I thought that was pretty cool.

I also enjoyed Ella’s character and narration. She is caring and has a loving heart. Particularly when it concerns her mother. She is a girl who lost her father a year ago and has a mother who is dying. But she doesn’t give up. She is a fighter and I admire that about her. Her character is also unreliable. We do not know the truth and whose side we should be on: the government’s or the terrorist’s (more like rebels). I found that her unreliability worked for the story. It made it that more thrilling like a mini detective story. I wanted to find out the truth and get to the bottom of the treason.

The secondary characters were also interesting in their own way, but there was not much character development for them. The story was mainly centered on Ella and highlighted aspects from other characters that intertwined with hers.

My only real complaint was the pacing of the story. I think it could have been executed a little better as it dragged a little in some places (mostly the beginning).

All in all, I really enjoyed this story. I liked how this was a standalone because everything is resolved at the end of the novel. There are no major cliffhangers that make you wonder what happens or unanswered questions that painstakingly linger. I would highly recommend this to Beth Revis fans. If you’ve read the Across The Universe trilogy you would definitely appreciate her new book like I did. For those who haven’t read it, you’ll appreciate the unique world-building and love the science-fiction immersed in the novel. Aside from sci-fi, there is also mystery and a sprinkle of romance that is sure to capture your interest!

This book was a tough book to rate as it teetered between a 3 and a 4 cupcake rating. The pacing was a deal breaker thus rendering it 3 cupcakes! It does not mean that I disliked the book in any way. I really enjoyed it and will always love Beth Revis’ work!

Cover Reveal: Learning to Love by Crystal Perkins

Good morning lovelies! Today I have the cover reveal for Crystal Perkin’s 4th book in the Griffin Brother’s series, Learning to Love. Learning to Love hits shelves on October 10,2014! I’m excited! Are you?

Here it goes…

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00071]ABOUT THE BOOK

A good girl who’s trying not to be bad…

Olivia has never been able to please her parents, no matter how hard she tries. Getting a good job, along with her own apartment, has given her some confidence, but their approval is still important to her. She needs help to keep up her perfect image, and unfortunately, Luke Griffin’s her only option. Sure he’s hot and every girl on campus wants him, but he also terrorized her almost a year ago. She can’t forget that.

A bad boy who’s really good…

Living in his brothers’ shadows has never been easy for Luke. He’s made some bad choices in order to distance himself from the constant comparisons to them. Like sleeping his way through college, and hanging out with the wrong guys. He gave that all up almost a year ago, choosing to focus on school and the hockey league he plays in. When he’s asked to tutor Olivia, he jumps at the chance to show her that he’s not the guy she—and everyone else—thinks he is.

A love so good, it can’t be bad…

Nights of tutoring and hockey games soon lead to romance. As Olivia learns to trust in Luke, her love makes him realize that just being himself is enough. But when her parents’ dislike of Luke threatens to destroy her family, she begs him to keep their relationship a secret.  When that secret’s revealed, will Olivia make the right choice or will Luke be left behind once again?

Can you learn to love yourself enough to trust someone else?

Crystal Perkins has always been a big reader, but she never thought she would write her own book, until she did. She lives in Las Vegas, where you can find her running author events and selling books at conventions when she isn’t reading, buying too many Sherlock t-shirts online or finding a place to put all of her Pop! figurines. A mac and cheese connoisseur, she travels the country looking for the perfect version, while attending book conventions and signings as a cover for her research. The first book in The Griffin Brothers series, GAMING FOR LOVE, is an international best-seller.

Cover Reveal: Game Changer by Collette West

Hello world! Today, I bring you a cover reveal of Collette West’s new novel, Game Changer. *woot woot* You may have heard of Collette West as I have done a previous cover reveal for Night Games, which also has a fabulous cover! I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for a good cover. And Game Changer is that – a good – nay, a BEAUTIFUL cover. Game Changer is due to hit stores on July 25, 2014.

So…here it goes…

Young, rich, and unaware of how seriously hot he is, Brooks Davison is tearing it up as the latest shortstop for the New York Kings, despite his tendency to blush whenever girls scream his name.

When a health scare forces his best friend, Kyle Roberts, off the team, no one can stomach the thought of replacing him, especially so close to the playoffs.

Until Kyle’s sister, Sasha, steps in, convincing management to let her take his place. The idea of signing the first female player in Major League history proves too tempting for the Kings to resist.

Nevertheless, Brooks doesn’t want any part of it. Sasha is Kyle’s little sister, not some sideshow.

Yet when Kyle takes a turn for the worse, Brooks promises to do everything in his power to help Sasha win a championship for him. Because there’s no way he’s letting either of them down. Not now, not ever.
